Governors Gown

Fashion Illustration assignment using "metallic fabrics".  Below is the final render.

Line Art:  Standard 8.5 x 11 copy paper

Render:  Pencil (Mechanical) Pen (Pigment Liners  01 and 03)

Time:  1.5 hours (pretty clean and flat inking)

Final Render:  Photoshop 7

Painting Time: 4 Hours

Main challenge was rendering metallic reflective fabric.  It wears similar to silk, but captures a lot of light.  I used the blur and dodge  tool to achieve the effect, after I scanned the fabric in to capture a color match.  The rest of the outfit relied on heavy steel with the idea to protect the governor and conceal identity.
