Radial Design In this project, we had to create a composition that was Radial in nature. It had to have a focal point for the viewer, and pull you in with all the different elements. I've never done so much pen work in one sitting. 12 hours straight of just shading and hatching with a pen. Overall, I'm proud of this particular piece. The perspective is a bit off with the statues, however the shading and tone of the bricks, the spears and the placement of statues all assist in forcing the eye to the focal point, the cross situated in the middle of the stone tower. In all, it took about 25 hours to complete, and many many thumbnails. Below are just a few. Thumbs
